hey, we're a band called clayborne. we play long songs with pretty bits and heavy bits about the emotional lives and social struggles of people in some books called the mars trilogy.
we're four different people and I'm writing this without consulting the others so maybe I'll leave it at that!
we don't actually have like a band position on real world humans-on-mars plans. last time we talked about it (years ago) I think we had poles of like "could be cool" & "fuck no, ew". speaking as a rep of the "fuck no" caucus, I just wanna say Mars is cool af & these people who want to turn it into their gated (by 200 million km of vacuum) community are morons & scumbags. here's one saying the quiet part loud (& also not having any idea how "nice schools" get cleaned & fed).
mars up, bros down.
Public Service Broadcasting - The Race for Space
Chill beats study relax (but make it sample historical space stuff)
also getting back to working on covering this, cause we're like half our own band and half a wannabe Fall of Efrafa/Light Bearer tribute band
IKARASS - Relapse into Desolation (2020)
First album from a Spanish post-metal outfit that started in 2013.
(We also started in 2013 but we still haven't released an album, so we got them beat. They're pretty good though.)
this band is on audiotree live at 4pm today, fyi! https://audiotree.tv/stream/11-09-2021-amygdala
Amygdala - Our Voices Will Soar Forever

Arboricidio - What We Leave Behind
crust, reminds me of ekkaia or morrow. neo-crust is maybe what we say?
https://alertaantifascistarecords.bandcamp.com/album/aa145-arboricidio-what-we-leave-behind-lp
🎶 Can't get enough of that epic crust stuff 🎶
Beyond the Veil - Fall of Efrafa
https://youtu.be/SASblIrRoFQ
Vedet - Terminal
somewhat sludgey post-metal
verrrrry excited that Alex CF (light bearer, archivist, fall of efrafa, momentum, carnist, morrow, etc.) has new music coming
(bit annoyed I had to login to somebody's facebook to learn this, but whadaya gonna do)
